C'est avec cette magnifique radio de mon magnifique cerveau que je m'excuse de n'avoir rien posté durant ce long mois !! Mais ce n'est pas (entièrement) ma faute. Mon retour des chutes du Niagara s'est soldé par le diagnostic d'une grippe A le jour de mon anniversaire (même si je commence à me demander si c'était pas juste une angine) dont la guérison a concordé avec... le début des examens !! Bref, tout ça pour dire que je suis de retour et que je vais reprendre la publication de vos bédés préférées, d'illustrations et de So Lucky Are Boys sur Webcomics.fr.

I'm sorry I posted nothing for a month !! Hope that beautiful picture of my beautiful brain will help you forgive me (that makes no sense !! :p) Anyway, it's not entirely my fault ; after a trip to Toronto and to the so-beautiful-that-you-wanna-jump-in-even-if-you're-not-suicidal Niagara Falls, I was diagnosed the H1N1 flu (even though I kinda think it was just some kind of angina) on my birthday !! Then, I was healed just in time for... my exams. To put it in a nutshell, now I'm back to publish new comics and pictures and So Lucky Are Boys on Webcomics.fr. Happy holidays everyone !! kjf

46 | Expedition Expozine


Today, I finally went to the Expozine !! OK, it took me three hours (what idiot takes the bus in the wrong direction till the terminus ?) and my socks are dead (what idiot puts on Converses a rainy day in Montreéal ?). Anyway, I was not the only one to face the weather for the love of indie books :
Aujourd'hui je suis enfin allé à l'Expozine !! OK, j'ai mis trois heures à y aller (quel débile prend le bus dans la mauvaise direction jusqu'au terminus ?) et mes chaussettes sont foutues (quel idiot met des Converse un jour de pluie à Montréal ?). En tous cas j'étais pas le seul à avoir bravé la pluie pour l'amour du livre :

Unfortunately I didn't stay long, but I'll be back next year and, let's hope, with a comics !

Malheureusement je suis pas resté très longtemps comme j'étais tout seul, mais l'année prochaine je reviens, et, espérons-le avec une BD !!

44 | Quarante-huit heures

In the Goethe Institute, comic-artists are tackling to make a book they're going to share out at the Expozine, about... "Walls" (it's soon the birthday of a famous wall fall). This is the 48 heures de la bande-dessinée. Nice surroundings for my really first field work for a soon-to-come story for Quartier Libre, allowing me to meet comics artists and watch them draw for the really first time in my life !! Felt kind of shyer than usual by those already-heard-names (Pascal Girard and others...). I met Vincent Giard, who said I could come there ask him questions, who is more bearded that expected ! :) I also could see Jimmy Beaulieu I hear a lot about on blogs and interviewed Julie Delporte (who won the first prize at the Francofête contest) and Delphine Bergeron who invited me to visit them at the Expozine !! Anyway, it was a really nice day ! Go to the blog, updated live by Delphine Bergeron, Laurence Lemieux et Michel Hellman (I was reading everyone's blog and I was reading his, Life in a Panel, when I realized he was sitting at the computer next to me, funny). Anyway don't miss their comics if you go to the Expozine (I will !)


Dans la bibliothèque de l'Institut Goethe, des bédéistes s'attèlent à réaliser un ouvrage dans le but de le distribuer à l'Expozine, avec pour thème le "Mur". Ce sont les 48 heures de la bande-dessinée. Ambiance relax pour mes toutes premières interviews de terrain pour un prochain article pour le Quarter Libre, qui m'a permis de rencontrer des auteurs de BD et d'en voir dessiner pour la première fois de ma vie !! Difficile de ne pas être intimidé par ses auteurs aux noms connus (Pascal Girard et plein d'autres...). J'ai rencontré Vincent Giard, qui m'avait permis de venir pour lui poser des questions, qui est plus barbu et chevelu que je le pensais ! :) J'ai aussi pu voir Jimmy Beaulieu dont j'entend souvent parler sur les blogs et j'ai interviewé Julie Delporte (celle qui a gagné le 1er prix du concours de la Francofête) et Delphine Bergeron qui m'a invité à venir les voir à l'Expozine !! En tous cas c'était une journée très sympa ! Allez voir le blog mis à jour en direct par les très talentueux Delphine Bergeron, Laurence Lemieux et Michel Hellman (c'est lui qu'on voit en arrière-plan ! j'étais en train de regarder tous les blogs et au moment où je lisais le sien je me suis rendu compte que c'était lui sur l'ordi à coté de moi, marrant). J'y suis allé, j'ai vu, je suis revenu !

No, I'm not (totally) ego-tripping !! It's just a homework for my Infographic Communication class about Auto-branding. And I liked doing it, and my mark (A !! I'm not bragging at all) so I posted it here !
Non, je n'ai pas un égo surdimensionné (pas tant que ça) ! Juste un devoir à rendre en Communication Infographique sur l'auto-promotion que j'ai bien aimé faire (l'arrière plan est visible ici). Note 17/20 :).
